Mr. Aftab is the CEO of LSE Financial Services Limited, a non-banking finance company formed after the merger of the three domestic exchanges in Pakistan. Besides, he is also serving as the regular Secretary General of the (SAFE)-a-SAARC recognized body representing 16 stock & commodity exchanges from 8 South Asian countries.
Previously, Mr. Aftab also worked as the Managing Director/CEO of Lahore and Islamabad Stock Exchanges, besides functioning as the CEO designate of National Asset Management Company in Pakistan. He also has been a director at both corporate credit rating agencies in Pakistan-M/s JCR VIS and PACRA. He has also served as Board director on National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited, Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and Institute of Capital Market. He has been recently appointed as the SECP nominated independent director on the Board of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited.
Mr. Aftab has about 29 years of professional experience on various assignments in the military, corporate and consulting sectors with a wide ranging exposure to logistics/supply chain/financial management, capital markets, infrastructure/corporate finance, privatization and training assignments.
Mr. Aftab holds an MBA Degree from Nicholls State University, Thibodaux (LA) USA, and is also a graduate of Executive Management Program of the Stanford University, USA. He has also an alumni of National Security Workshop of National Defence Unviersity besides having attended many other securities market related programs both at home and abroad.
