Chief Regulatory Officer 

Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited (PMEX) is looking for a Chief Regulatory Officer (CRO) who will be reporting to the Regulatory Affairs Committee of the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities include:

CRO will be responsible for all the responsibilities required under Futures Exchanges (Licensing and Operations) Regulations, 2017 which include but not limited to the following:

  • Leading the enforcement and compliance of the PMEX’s regulatory framework including taking enforcement actions
  • Handling matters related to regulations including drafting and reviewing
  • Monitoring compliance with policies/processes/procedures and related obligations
  • Conducting investigations, inspections and inquiries.

Required Skill Set

  • The CRO is expected to have an in-depth understanding of the regulatory framework governing the futures market.
  • Must possess high level of integrity and demonstrated capabilities in establishing and managing compliance function
  • Must demonstrate leadership qualities with excellent communication and presentation skills.


-Preferably served as chief regulatory officer for a period of three years in any other company, or have:

  1. a minimum experience of five years in related functions at a securities or futures exchange; or served as head of finance, audit, compliance or other corporate functions for a period of four years in any other company.

Qualification & Experience

Must be a qualified professional possessing relevant experience and degree relating to the job and must have demonstrated, through his qualification and experience, the capacity to successfully undertake the cognate responsibilities of the position. Preferably be a member of recognized body of accountants, law graduate or holds a master degree in Finance/ Economics.
