Mr. Wajahat Aziz Qureshi is a nominee director of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP). Currently he is Group Head Asset & Liability Management at NBP, where he is primarily responsible for managing bank’s balance sheet.

He is a seasoned banker with exposure in global markets, risk, compliance and audit, of over 23 years.

He started his banking career with the State Bank of Pakistan in late nineties, and moved into commercial banking in 2002 and joined United Bank Limited, where he worked in different roles, from treasury & trade audit to market risk, middle office, financial institution & sovereign risk, etc. prior to moving into leading derivatives and structured products and international treasury function, in Pakistan and Middle East.

He has also successfully led treasury function at First Women Bank Limited and Pak Oman Investment Company Limited.

Mr. Wajahat holds a BBA and MBA Finance from Pakistan and an M.Sc. in Investment Banking & Finance from UK.
